What a month can look like.

An illustrative month using published industry benchmarks for UK and US B2B cold email. Your results depend on your market, offer and deal size.1,2,4

Illustrative month from industry benchmarks: 1,000 emails sent; about 34 replies at a 3.43% average reply rate; about 14 to 21 positive, at 40 to 60% of replies; about 4 to 12 meetings, as 30 to 60% of positive replies book; and about 1 to 4 deals, as 20 to 30% of meetings close

At £850 a month that is roughly £70–210 per meeting. Pay-per-meeting agencies typically charge £200–500 per meeting held.5

Why it works.

Three things the data says win replies. Orbit is built around all three.

Two emails side by side: a generic template, with industry benchmark reply rates of 7 to 9%, against a personal opening line drawn from the company’s own website, written by Claude with its source linked, at 17 to 18%

Personal beats generic

Industry benchmark, 20263

Tailored emails average about 17–18% reply rates, against 7–9% for basic or none, roughly double.

In Orbit

Every lead gets one opening line drawn from their own website, with the source linked.

Small batches beat mass sends

Industry benchmark, 20263

Campaigns under 50 contacts average 5.8% replies, against 2.1% for 1,000+.

In Orbit

Weekly targeted batches by campaign, not one big blast.

Follow-ups double replies

Industry benchmark, 20263

Sequences of 4–7 steps average 8.3% replies, against 4.1% with no follow-up.

In Orbit

Every campaign has a planned follow-up sequence.

Case study

We built it for our own sales team first.

Our team had a raw pool of about 3,200 records from free tools, most without a verified email, and an estimate of two weeks to clean them. Orbit runs that same pool through its checks, scores it with Claude, and hands back only the leads worth contacting.

How it works.

Four stages. A person signs off before anything sends.

Four stages: find and clean, by scripts and our team; research and write, by Claude; check and approve, by a person; send and track, from warmed-up domains. Replies, opt-outs and bounces are tracked automatically.
  1. 01 · Scripts + our team

    Find and clean

We source decision makers that fit your brief, and code removes anyone in the wrong country or size, without a verified work email, or on your do not contact list.

  2. 02 · Claude

    Research and write

Claude reads each company's website, ranks the lead and writes one opening line with the link it came from, flagging anything unclear instead of guessing.

  3. 03 · A person

    Check and approve

Every line is checked against its source and your rules, then a person approves, edits or skips each lead, in about 15 minutes per batch.

  4. 04 · Warmed-up domains

    Send and track

Approved leads get a short follow-up sequence from warmed-up domains, with replies, opt-outs and bounces tracked automatically.

Your first three weeks

Account support timeline: week 1 discovery, who you sell to, with our rep; week 2 build and warm up, sheet, tools and domains ready; week 3 first batch together, approved line by line; then ongoing campaign reviews, tuned as replies come in

Your brand is protected.

Scripts apply the fixed rules, Claude does the research, people make every decision.

Three layers. Scripts apply rules that never bend: right country, right size, verified work email, one per company, do not contact list. Claude researches at scale: reads their website, picks the campaign, writes one line, links its source, flags anything unclear. People make every decision: agree the brief, approve every lead, launch the campaign, handle replies. Claude reads and drafts; it never sends.

Who does what

Each layer does what it does best. Claude reads and drafts, and never sends.

Nothing goes out unchecked. Check 1: fixed facts checked by code. Check 2: every quote matched to its source. Check 3: every email checked against the rules. Then a person approves. A line that fails twice is replaced with a safe line and flagged for review. Anyone who replied, bounced or opted out is never added again.

Three checks, then a person

A line that fails a check twice is replaced with a safe line and flagged for review.

The Orbit master lead sheet: each sample company with its priority, a sourced opening line and its status

What lands in your sheet

Every lead ranked by priority, each opening line shown with its source, and a status on every row.

A draft email in Orbit: who to contact is agreed with our sales rep first, Claude drafts one line from their own website with the link it came from, and you or our rep approve, edit or skip every message before it is sent

What your prospect receives

One line drawn from their own website, approved by you or your rep before anything sends.

Safeguards on every campaign

  • Limited companies only
  • An opt-out link in every email
  • Your suppression list, always applied
  • A documented legitimate interest
  • Nothing sends without a person approving it
  • Claude never sees anyone's email address
  • Every action is logged

Dedicated account support.

Not a login and a help centre. A real sales rep, backed by our developers, sets Orbit up around your company and stays with you while your campaigns run.

Your Orbit team. Our sales rep agrees the brief and reviews every batch with you, and takes on the day to day if you have no sales manager. Our developers build the scripts, connect your tools and warm up your domains. You approve leads, or leave it to our rep, and can pause or change anything at any time. Human controls: approve the brief, set exclusions, review every batch, edit or skip any line, pause any campaign

Tailored to your business

  • Campaigns built around the services you sell, each with its own offer and case study
  • Your targeting: sectors, company size, job titles and locations
  • Your tone of voice, and the phrases you never want used
  • Your do not contact list, applied on every run

No sales manager? Your Orbit sales rep takes on the day to day with you, so nothing depends on hiring one first.

Founding clients agree to a short case study once results are in. You approve it before it's published, and it can be anonymised.

If your pilot gets no positive replies, we run it for another four weeks at no cost. A positive reply is interest or a meeting request, not an out of office or a no. It applies when each batch is approved within a week.

FAQs.

How many meetings will I get?

It depends on your market, offer and list. As a guide, published benchmarks for well-targeted B2B cold email suggest roughly 4–12 meetings per 1,000 emails. We measure your results from the first batch and tune the targeting every week.

How much of my time does it take?

About 15 minutes to approve each weekly batch. Our sales rep can go through it with you, or approve it for you if you prefer. Beyond that, you only step in for the replies and the meetings.

Will there be a real person I can talk to?

Yes. You get a dedicated sales rep who sets up your campaigns with our developers, tailors the targeting to your company and stays your point of contact while campaigns run. Nothing is sent until your team approves it.

We do not have a sales manager. Can we still use Orbit?

Yes. Your Orbit sales rep sets up the campaigns, reviews each batch with you and passes on the replies, so you only step in for the conversations.

Do we need to change our tools?

No. Leads land in a spreadsheet and approved rows go to your existing email tool. We connect to what you already use.

Will it send emails on its own?

Never. Claude only reads and drafts. A person approves every lead before anything goes out: someone on your team, or your Orbit sales rep with you.

Is it compliant for UK cold email?

Orbit is built around UK rules. It only contacts limited companies, LLPs and PLCs, which can receive business emails without prior consent. Sole traders and ordinary partnerships are left out. Every email says who it is from and includes an easy way to opt out. Anyone who opts out or objects goes on a do-not-contact list and is never added again. Because named work emails are personal data, we document our legitimate interest and tell people where we got their details.

Can we use our own lead list?

Yes. We run it through the same checks, remove what does not qualify, and score what remains.

Who owns it?

You do. Your briefs, data, code and documentation are yours, and you can take them elsewhere at any point.

I received an email from Lost Circle. How did you find me?

We use Orbit for our own outreach. Your details came from a business contact database, we read your company's public website, and a person on our team checked the email before it was sent. If you would rather not hear from us, reply and we will add you to our suppression list straight away. Our privacy notice explains how we handle business contact data.
